I'm not sure if this is the right place, but …

Whenever I copy my old iPhotos library over to the pictures folder and start Photos (since iPhoto is no longer supported), the library imports with no problem. BUT shortly thereafter the imported photos delete themselves. I was just working on this AGAIN and about 5 minutes after the import I watched the various photos (in the imported folders) wipe themselves. Ideas?

Are you using the same library for Photos and iPhotos? You might want to separate them out.
iCloud sync is a system function, so the it can only work on one.

I'm no longer using iPhotos since it hasn't been supported for years. I've also disabled iCloud sync in Photos. This has me stumped.
