I’m not able to find the 12 mini pics thread so gotta post here for comparison.

Was on my way to meet a friend to give them my old iPhone 7 for them to use as her’s had water damage.

Sunshine Beach, Toronto ON by lakeshore crossing the bridge during twilight.

New year, new iPhone, new cameras. Would love to see everyone’s pics, from low light, night mode, etc. 📸 Let’s show some love for the non-pro models. Can’t wait to see everyone’s snapshots!
How big are the original 'full size' jpgs? Just curious. the ones you posted are less than 1 meg.

Excellent.

How did you not get any lens flare in the first pic with the sun!!?? Was there a software update or are you using hardware add on?
Not sure. It was just a normal point & shoot, but I did use the ultra wide camera. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Actually, I’ve tracked two other shots of the gorgeous Queensland sun, one with the main camera, & one with the ultra wide camera…

Looks like there’s a bit of flare in the main camera only?

Nice! Just wondering - did you use the long exposure feature on the Photos app for the water & stars shots? Or did you use a 3rd party app to get 30 second exposure?

Thanks!

I used the App Slow Shutter. 🙂

Still looks good!

That flare in the second pic actually ADDs coolness to the sun. like god-rays peeping through clouds in a sun-shower.

How do you choose which camera to use using native controls?

Basically just depends on how scenic the shot is & whether the ultra wide can capture enough of everything I want to snap.

The main camera more so gets used for when I have something in the foreground I want to highlight in relation to what’s behind it.

I only have 0.5x & 1x optical zooms though (never use digital zooms). Really wish I had the Pro iPhones as an option through my work - that extra zoom would come in handy.

Oh I thought the first photo had the lens flare you were referring to - the white dot/streak in the bottom right quadrant.

Thought the clouds were going to put a dampener on the day here, but I ended up liking how the camera captured the muted, gloomy tones. Love how the iPhone camera goes for accuracy of colours rather than boosting them up artificially.

Fall trip to New England (A majority of the pictures are in New Hampshire, up near Conway).

I'm not used to the 13PM's camera - I'm coming from an LG V60 and that phone's camera is extremely robust; even when using automatic settings, it takes great photos. That's not always the case with the 13PM's camera.

Some of the photos were taken with Camera+ but the majority of them were taken with the native iPhone app. None were post-edited.

Finally I can contribute.
iPhone 13 mini, during nearly 40km/h with a bad nasal cold felt good for a bike ride. 18 Celsius today in Toronto .. had to take advantage.
