In a bout of stupidity, I decided to clear the plists and speed up my Safari. Stupid mistake, as I don't know what I'm doing. Next thing I know… Safari doesn't have my bookmarks and reading list.

I rescued something from the metadata -- by the looks of it, all of the bookmarks. But I don't know how to re-install them.

Also, in a separate problem, my time machine won't open. I click on "enter time machine," and nothing happens. I also try to get in via the Applications folder, and still nothing. I've restarted several times, unmounted and re-mounted the backup disk, etc…. and nothing.

MBP from 2012, Safari 6, OS 1.7.5

Whoever can help me gets my first born!
