Hi, today I was looking at a Color Classic and found myself thinking about this.

Apple is famous for industrial design, but I think we can all agree that they put out a few turds, that are either ugly or... at least silly-looking.

What is the worst in your opinion and why?
I've included a bunch of choices, including what I expect to be unpopular ones.

As for me, the Color Classic is the worst ever.
Why? A matter of principle.
It managed to ruin a perfect design with a few swift pencil strokes, turning it into a clunky, odd, plastic-y shape.

That's about what I hate about the iBook G4, which essentially took the Dual USB and replaced everything with opaque plastic, this ruining its delicate balance.

And yes, you read that right, I included the rMB, there is something about it that rubs me the wrong way, it lacks a certain elegance. I wonder if I'm the only one.
[doublepost=1501181542][/doublepost]Ouch, I'm sorry, with LC 575 I mean the whole LC 500 range, of course. I can't edit that anymore.

For me, no contest, and you missed it. :D It's the PowerMac G3 AIO. Lumpy, bumpy, curvy for no good reason.
Translucent plastic, with sharp metal casing inside (I remember, not fondly, almost always bleeding when taking one apart in a service shop)

Ouchie. I forgot about that awful piece of crap. It's that ugly.

Essentially a more advanced form of the same perversion that was the LC 500 series, after all, but with random curves thrown in. Picture for reference.

Also, a precursor to the iMac G5's ginormous bezel.

This is not so much about "ugly", but about form under function (see what I did there :D )
I'm looking at you, Macintosh TV. I think Apple took the worst from that 500 series, gave it a black case.
I was working in an Apple specialist when the Mac TV came out. Had a black keyboard and mouse, unique to that model. And Apple apparently didn't make enough spares. I had a customer with a failed black mouse, and Apple never supplied service replacements for the black pieces (or couldn't get one to us, anyway). That was fun...

I give my vote to the Power Macintosh 4400 (also known as the 7220). I had two of these in my collection at one stage and I have a soft spot for them, but man they were ugly. It had a solid steel, PC-style top casing, full of sharp edges (inside and out) and a back-to-front floppy/optical drive arrangement.

But.. it used industry standard ATA/IDE HDDs and Optical drives, PCI expansion bays and a standard ATX PSU.

I voted for the LC575(which I'm taking as the Performa series also).

I'm not a fan of the CC, but I like all the others on your list. I also like the G3 AIO, but then maybe I'm weird.

I have everything there save for the Retina, TAM, and CC. I also have a G3 AIO.
