The speaker system of the iPad Pro 9.7 is really awesome, but I seem to be getting really poor audio quality when plugging my headphones / earphones into the audio jack of the iPad Pro 9.7.

What I did was:
  • Launched an app
  • Inserted earphones / headphones
  • Played some music / audio
The apps I tried:
  • Music app
  • Spotify
  • YouTube
I compared this against the same sound (i.e. exact same youtube video or audio file) from my computer and my Nexus 6P. The audio from the earphones plugged into the iPad Pro 9.7 consistently sounds like it's been compressed to an 128kbps MP3 file, lacking in highs and soundstage.

Anyone else have this issue? Could this be a software issue, or maybe they used a really poor DAC?
