I have the above problem and I read this thread:
'POSIX: Operation time out' Cydia Error
and I believe that's the answer ...

now, I don't have Ultrasn0w repo, I have quite some sources and Cydia changed since January last year, in an way that as long as a repo is registered, it won't report one as being faulty/off-line, also I have this problem from quite some time and I don't think the bad repo will come back
so, the question is:

How do i figure out which repo is the problem ?

Go to the sources tab and see which repo is stuck with the loading animation
