My 'brief' history.

I first started my journey into Apple with the old 3rd generation iPod Classic.

It was a great device that served me extremely well back in the day. In fact, it lasted me until its hard drive crashed back in 2009. I then replaced it with a 5th generation Classic.

This was absolutely the best. It had 30GB to spare on its Hard Drive and it was extremely nice to be able to carry most of my music (at the time). This one didn't last me too long however as it had been stolen a year later while at the gym. So what I had done was take my old 3rd generation Classic to the Apple store in hopes of a fix and they ended up selling me the 120GB 6th generation for only $1/GB. I couldn't refuse to that offer at the time seeing how a new one was $249. So the once sad me went home happy again.

Mind you, I have yet to own an iPhone (will soon though, read on). So in the midst of the touch screen craze, I ended up investing in two 4th generation iPod Touch players.

These were marvelous instruments for both me and my brother (whom I bought the second one for). We didn't have smart phones at the time, so you can imagine how happy we both were. It was here that we began taking off with Apple products. Soon after, we invested into their tablets and computers. The first were both the iPad 2 and a refurbished Macbook Air (mid-2010).

This was a marvelous upgrade, especially in my laptop history. As of today, the newest additions to my Apple Product History is the beautiful 13-inch Macbook Pro with Retina Display (late-2013) and the 16GB iPad Mini.

It all started one Christmas with the 2nd generation iPod Shuffle.

Eventually, that found it's way into the washer. I was extremely sad, but not for long because soon after came the 5th generation iPod Nano.

I still have that one in a drawer somewhere. I refuse to give it to my brother. It's just too sentimental. That lasted me about a year until I moved on to the 4th generation iPod Touch. I was surprised to find out it had 32 gigabytes, which I have never been able to use all of. I still use it to stream to my Apple TV, but it doesn't hold a charge anymore.

Next came the biggest surprise in my entire Apple Product History. I got an iPad 2 from my parents for my birthday. The thing is still going strong today, used mostly by my dad. I babied that thing until one of my friends dented it by throwing his phone at it.

Later that month came my iPhone 4s. Still use it to iMessage my friends.

Then the next year came may Apple TV 3rd Generation and AirPort Express. They sit side by side on my bureau looking exactly alike, except for the color.


That's all for now. I've taken a break from iOS to explore Android, but I'll be back soon! Pretty soon there will be a MacBook and an iPhone/iPAd most likely.

I started to enter Apple zone with the phone first so:

In November 2011 i bought iPhone 4s, and i like it so
In November 2012 i bought iPhone 5 slate and i like it so i say let's try OSX too and
In late 2012 i bought a 13" Macbook Air 1.8Ghz Dual Core i5 with HD4000, and i like it and i said to me let's change my main home computer too and go full OSX so
In April 2013 i bought an 21.5" iMAC 2.9 Ghz quad core and Geforce 650M with fusion drive and i love it
In late 2013 i was thinking that a better GPU and Wifi ac i need and bought the 27" 3.4Ghz quad core with Fusion drive and 780M
In the late 2013 year i decided to give my perfectly 13" Macbook Air to my girl and for me i bought for when i travel a 15" Macbook Pro 2.0Ghz quad core i7 wifi ac

2: Inherited an iPod Classic from my dad.
3: Inherited a 2003 iBook G3 when my mom upgraded to a MacBook.
4: Inherited a 2005 iMac G5 from my dad when the iBook broke.
5: Purchased a 4th Generation iPod touch for myself.
6: Purchased a 5th Generation iPod Nano when the iPod touch broke.
7: Sold the iPod Nano and bought another 4th Generation iPod touch to replace it.
8: Inherited a 2008 iMac C2D from my dad when the iMac G5 broke.
9: Sold the 4th Gen. iPod touch and purchased the 5th Gen.
10: Sold the iMac and purchased a 2011 Mac Mini.

Future:

It was 2004 and I was in 7th grade. The first day of school my first class was held in wood works and design, and there, sitting across the room, was one of the most beautiful/awesome/interesting computers I'd ever seen -

A Blue and White Yosemite PowerMac G3 complete w/ matching monitor. I asked my brother to try and find me one the next day, and a few days later my awesome brother gave me my own Yosemite G3. Used it until 2005.





In 2005, I was so interested in getting a modern, up to date Mac that I eventually was able to get a PowerMac G5 dual 2.0Ghz from my same awesome brother with box and all for $500. He owns a graphics design and animation company called Avatar Labs - so he had one he was able to let go of.

Used that machine day in and day out for everything from school work to making animations in Adobe Flash to gaming, and it was my trouble-free workhorse up until I sold it in 2010.




In 2010/2011 - I moved and no longer had any computer (besides an Xbox 360) - so, yet again my awesome awesome brother has a solution - he let me borrow a 24" White C2D iMac. I then got a C2D Mac Mini, and a C2D Mac Mini, a 2005 G5 DC (not DP), and a G4 Cube. Half of these I bought myself.

I proceeded to sell the all the Macs in 2011/2012.




Then in 2012 I was the owner of a 2006 Mac Pro that I bought off of the Marketplace here on MacRumors. Used that for about a year, installed Mavericks on it with Tiamo's boot.fi - then sold it on eBay.


Then I was the owner of a 2012 Mac Mini, baseline model. I then found out I needed Windows for college, so I had to sell the Mini (didn't want to Bootcamp at the time) as I had an HP I figured I'd return the Mini for to get a gaming GPU for an HP ENVY desktop I had from the Mac Pro money.



NOW, finally, I have a 27 2009 iMac, an iPad 4th Gen, and a 2011 (2010/2012) Mac Pro with it's original box in like new condition that I'm waiting on a few parts for from OWC to mount the SSD properly.


That's the timeline of my Apple history. I still remember that B&W Yosemite, man, what a striking machine. So mesmerizing.
