Pamani I loved your home designs. Its not that clumsy. I like houses that are spacious. Loved the color that you have used for your walls. Nice.

Home Bar

Here is a picture of the home bar we built. The first one was there when we moved in, had some great times but then ripped it out and built the new one.

Sadly we recently moved but the people that bought the house say they still love the bar. Cannot wait to finish the new basement and build another.

Well, the cabinets are installed. Sorry for the lousy photos. I'll have to move all the furniture out and take some photos when I am done. I have to do the wainscoting behind the window seat and middle cabinet (The top will be even with the right cabinet), finish the toe kick, and touch up some of the varnish. Eventually there will be doors for the middle cabinet, but I haven't decided quite what I'm doing there.

Once I get that done, the carpet is coming up (2" wide Oak - doesn't even need refinished!) and I'll replace the shoe moulding in the room. That should go rather fast. And new curtains are on order (they were in the house when we bought it seven years ago. Time to go!)

I'm taking a break from this for a while until it gets warm enough to finish varnishing the trim outside or at least in the garage.

Best home bar I've seen in a while. Wish I had a basement.

Nice work everybody! Well anyway, I made 9 of these radiator covers about 5 years ago to cover the ugly steel ones. What a difference :)

Apparently it's too loud and needs turning down (never going to happen)

These are all great projects. I've been riding high for weeks on my near-finished small powder room but these projects make mine look like it took me months to do a 1-week job.

Pics to follow when it is all done.

Does changing the filter in my Culligan water filter thingy count?

It took a while, and I had to use a Robogrip, and remember "left loose...right tight".

Pretty big project, for me...:p

I believe it only counts if you use "Righty tighty, Lefty Loosey"

I am led to believe that the rhyming is critical in DIY Jobs. :p
