Still rocking OS 9! I run OS 9 on my 900MHz iBook G3 and it runs like a champ. If Classilla was a little more stable, I'd never need to boot to OS X on it again.

If only they made CygWin for OS 9.... if they did, MacOS 9 would be all I would need. Also, KaleidoScope is amazing :).

Just moved it into my new apartment, with the desk I've had since I was three. :) (Excuse the quality, picture taken with a Palm Pixi.)

I love my eMac. Sometimes I am sad I am running the G5 now. Mine is only 1ghz, I wanted a 1.42ghz, but my desk isn't big enough for my 24" monitor and my eMac.

Was I rude? My apologies to SkyBell if I was.
"not polite" != "rude." Its like when you go to your buddy's house and their house is messy. You don't mention it because that is the polite thing to do. So you are not specifically being rude. I don't think an apology is warranted.

I like Classilla. I really do. I appreciate what Cameron does, even if it and tenfourfox ain't perfect. The man puts in serious effort to keep PowerPC alive, everyone on this forum should be thanking him, even if they still only use Camino, Safari and Tobias's webkit.

Having said that, I really wish there were better browser options for OS 9. I keep looking for something else that can be updated (I did a little Codewarrior'ing back in the day) and there just ain't much to work with. Even Links2 ported over would be sweet, kinda like wannabe, but with inline graphics. I did just come across a browser called netsurf for RISC OS that has its own custom rendering engine. They say it can work with any OS, but it looks to me like porting it to OS 9 will be a chore. And a half.

No offense taken, I understand most people are much "cleaner" than I am. :D I've never been one to really care if my cords were showing or how they looked.

Sorry for being off topic but did you change your username?

Yep, Cassie changed her name. However, she'll always be Cassie to me.

On that note, Cassie have you ever tried one of those eMac swivel stands for your beloved eMac?

I totally agree, I was just being polite. Cable management is a pet peeve of mine.

Funny that you say that, I have a major issue with other people's cabling myself. I'm so OCD that once I have my cables exactly as I want them I zip-tie, and then use twist-ties on any dangling cables. I'm crazy. Haha.

osx is just to slow for my liking on my g3..the fact that web sites like yahoo main page die waiting for script error running camino ect under panther....os 9 with classilla zips along just fine...

It's refreshing to hear that in times when every cord must be hidden (if wireless isn't available, of course), every fan must be more quiet than an ant peeing on cotton, the monitors must be tasteful and have no noticable frames... It's almost like a charade. :D

Some older setup pics I found. All are from 2006.

The painted one is the first (not the current one I have) painted case I did. Used spray paint on this one and car paint on the one in my sig. This pic is from 2005.

Naked B&W G3 that later got a G4 600MHz upgrade and a Sawtooth shell. It ended up being donated to a local schools computer lab that a client of mine operates.

Found a much newer one from the summer of 2010:
