Hi everyone,

Stupid question, probably, but I was wondering if it'd be possible to upgrade to either Sierra or High Sierra on my 2010 MBP that has a Windows 7 partition via BootCamp?

I know I can't *install* Windows 7 on Sierra/High Sierra, but could I install Sierra/High Sierra on my existing ElCap partition without it affecting my Win7 BootCamp partition? Would it mess up my bootloader? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Just as an FYI, I upgraded my MBP to max RAM and have an SSD, so I don't think performance would see a huge drop off. Maybe it wouldn't be worth it, but just wanted to see if it was possible. Thanks in advance.

Found the answer myself. The answer is: yes, upgrading is fine, and I notice now that 10.12.2 added the ability to install Windows 7 and 8 on Sierra.
