If you type Power Book into the search function on apple's website the price comes up as $2199. What gives?

I also did a search on Power Mac and it says from $1699 however the name of that file is powermac071801.gif. . . so I'm not sure that date means much . . .

could this be something like with today's powermac line-up change?? They have a promotion on the powerbooks at the moment (on educational store) and they end on the 25th of September. Does this mean that there will be a change on the 25th???

Is this the one where you get a hunderd off the low end model, and 150 off the top end? If not, what exactly was the promotion? How do you know it ends on September 25?

it has to be the older model(s), but powerbook is now up for the update...hopefully soon, too

apple needs a 1 ghz laptop just for morale purposes since dell has their 1.4 ghz pentium 4 at $1299 US...that is crazy, even with a chepo-looking black plastic enclosure
