Resolved Power led flashing but no Red LED RAM trays?

One of my 8 Transcend 2GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM RAM modules caused this fault.

Strangely no red led on any of the 2 RAM trays, so I had to trial-and-error all modules on each of the two RAM trays to find out which module broke on me.
Any one a hint why none of the leds turned red?

I have had 2 ECC DDR2 RAM modules fail in the last 6 years, neither made any LEDs light red, both times the flashing power light was the only clue and it was trial and error to find which one was to blame.
