It looks like the Intel transition starts half a year earlier than expected - do you think we’ll see Intel Power Macs earlier, too (summer instead end of 06)?

Is it save to assume that the first CPU will be Conroe or will have to wait for Woodcrest? Looking at Intel’s roadmap, the next major step would be Tigerton and PCIe-II by the end of 07 – beginning of 08 ... .

I'd say Conroe is a safe bet.

So there is hope for Macintel desktops within the next 6 months.

Can’t wait for MWSF, the Über-Mini might just be the right machine to fill the gap until rev.a/b Intel Powermacs.
