Hey, thanks in advance for any help you can give. I've been reading these forums for while but this is the first time ive had to post anything.
My friends powerbook 15" 1.67/512 has started to give really poor backlighting. Apparently it went from the normal level to almost off instantly. The backlight also flickers slightly sometimes. Running on full backlight now with ambient adjustment off and stuff the backlighting still exists but is eqivilant to about my iMac G5 20" at 1 more than 0 backlighting.
Ive reset the PMU and PRAM as well as obviously checking the display and energy saver preferences. Do you think it is a faulty backlight? If so how prohibitive is the repair cost, i'm pretty sure applecarehas run out.
