I'm doing a few upgrades on a friend's first-gen 12" PB, and among her complaints is that the sleep light stopped working recently. I'd just assume it was a hardware failure after she dropped it a while back, except it was acting oddly before--taking about 30 seconds after sleep to come on. Lead me to believe it might be a firmware issue.
Anybody had this happen?
I tried all the obvious: Reset PRAM, "reset-all" in OF. I also did a Power Manager reset (press control-option-comman-power when it's off), but the KBase document says to wait 5 seconds and then start the computer up. When I pressed that key combo, it just started up without me doing anything--did I do something wrong, or were the instructions off?
