i am using a pair of speakers that came w/ my Cube and i dont know why but, it seems like they arent as loud as they should be. they are much louder on the Cube then if used with my MBP. any ideas?

Well, if they're louder on your Cube than on your MBP, then that probably just means that the Cube is able to give the speakers more power than the MBP is. That's what I would assume, anyway.

I believe those Cube speakers have a pretty big draw on USB power, so that may have an effect on the output. Sometimes my Powerbook will give me low USB power warnings if it isnt charging and a whole bunch of stuff is plugged into USB. Maybe try plugging the speakers in while the Mac Book is charging?
