iPhone Problem with ads and Facebook icons in safari

The last couple of days I've found that some websites have things like a Facebook icon or ads at the bottom of the screen. This prevents me from getting the back button because if I tap the area at the bottom to being the navigation keys, I end up either clicking the ad, clicking Facebook, etc.

Is there a way around this?

Tap the top area where the web site URL/title is or scroll up the page a bit if you aren't at the top already.

Thanks. Tapping the URL box seems to work.
