I recently upgraded to an iphone 7 plus 256gb. All my contacts moved over from my iphone 6 plus. all the contacts are there, but certain contacts are missing phone numbers. My daughter is using an iphone 5 of mine that still has all my old contacts on it, so I go re-enter the missing numbers. Then I go to call someone and the number is gone. This last time I deleted the contacts, made new ones with new names and re-entered the numbers. Gone.
Around the time of this happening I noticed in my contacts at the very bottom of my contacts had a bunch of saved contacts saying things like "Taylor hates when you drunk dial". all the names are the numbers that get deleted the numbers of those contacts were all 666-666-666*, * being a random number.
