Problem with HD. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so I just installed boot camp, now I try to partition it, and it says something is wrong with the hd (BTW: it says to check the disk in disk utility). I checked it with disk utility and half way through it asks for my password then it says (after i enter the password)

Disk Utility stopped verifying “Macintosh HD” because the following error was encountered:

The underlying task reported failure on exit

Can anybody help. I will be using it for Vista RC1
