After restarting my iPhone SE3, the login screen comes up without the keyboard and there serms to ne no way on that screen to bring up the keyboard. By side button clicking to the start screen, then pushing the home button, I get a login screen with keyboard.
The iPhone had iOS 17 at purchase and is fully updated.
This workaround was not needed with previous home button phones.
