Problem with MBP --> TV

I'm trying to connect my MBP to my TV so I can use Front Row on it. I got the DVI > Video adapter. The only problem is that using a S-VIDEO cable gives me a black and white picture. The composite works fine though.

What can I do to fix this issue?

Cable might be bad. Or one of the plugs, but the cable is more likely.
