I've recently noticed that my colour settings within Photoshop appear much more vibrant than when the same picture is used on a Website. I can capture a screenshot of a website, and paste it into Photoshop and the colours seem completely different, despite using the same system (Powerbook).

I suspected this was something to do with the Colour Settings in Photoshop, however I set this to 'Web Graphics Default' and the colours are still mis-matched.

Or is this a result of Gamma (I suspect it is)..

Any suggestions?

You need to calibrate your display in Photoshop and change your color settings. Look this up in the PS help, there's lots of info about it. Do the color settings while viewing a web page on your desktop so you can match the coloring of graphics betters.
