Hi,

Hope you can help. I'm trying to install Tiger on Powerbook G4 from DVD (currently running on 10.2.3)- def have enough RAM. I go through the various stages and message error "problems installing please try again" I've tried a few times with no luck. Any suggestions?

Is it a retail version of Tiger, a download, or a copy from another machine? At what stage does it give this message? Are you doing a clean install or an upgrade? :)

What does the installer log say when it crashes. It could be because of a dirty cd. If it stops at somthing you dont need or can install later(ie printer drivers..etc) Try running the installer again but deselect these items. Then just install it after you install osx.
If you are trying to install tiger with a restore disk from another computer it wont work, I dont think this is the case ,however because the installer let you even start the process.
