I create music transcriptions in an app called EasyABC but would like to print them from a PDF for better quality than direct from the app itself. So I go to Print, and Open in PDF. The A4 PDF results in Preview are very poor though, on the screen and when I print and yet, when I zoom into the document in Preview, the results are very sharp and clear. Maybe I'm missing something very basic here but how can I get those sharp clear results on to an A4 sheet .

I would suggest, from EasyABC, select Print>PDF>Save as PDF..., type a name for the new PDF file & select a location to save the file, Save it. Finally, try opening the newly created PDF in your PDF viewer of choice (I use Skim).
