processor question..

I currently have a Dell XPS with an intel 2.16ghz duel core processor. Is this about the same at a 1.8ghz core 2 duo? The one I have now is more than powerful enough for me, but I am ready to get a mac, and really considering the Air.

core 2 duo vs core duo

Looks as though the performance boost from the '2' is minor. So I would think that the air would be slower than your current set up especially when taking in the hdd.

BUT as has been said before it depends what you do as to whether you will notice the difference
