It’s easiest to just install from a supported machine and boot from the unsupported one. Like sub 867MHz G4s on release Leopard. Once it’s installed there’s no compatibility check like there is in modern macos.

It’s also worth nothing that QT 7.5.5 also broke 343.

Build 343 is a no go.... just sits there infinitely loading.

This is what I am faced with

After this part it simply doesn’t boot all the way.

Okay, I just attempted to boot 9A321, I could have sworn I did it before and it worked.. But it was hanging. Verbose revealed that it was actually not 'hung' it was in a crash loop. I am attaching the logs to this post. It appears that loginwindow.app was continuously crashing.

I know for a fact 9A303 works. It's pretty much the same as 9A241. I will continue trying to get this build to work. This was on a 900MHz iBook G3.

Edit: Here's the output for seeing which archs loginwindow supports:
Code:
ibookg3900:~ Joey$ lipo -info /Volumes/9A321/System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/MacOS/loginwindow
Architectures in the fat file: /Volumes/9A321/System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/MacOS/loginwindow are: i386 ppc
As you can see it says "ppc". In theory it should still work, as applications that are compiled for G4s will usually say "ppc7400".

So liger is incompatible with ShapeShifter 2.3.1... bummer as I wanted to use Liger, but I couldn’t get ShapeShifter 2.5 to work.

I'd be surprised if any version of it works. Question, are you doing any modifications to shapeshifter? Like forcing it to install, tricking it to thinking it's running on Tiger? Or are you just installing it like normal and it complains it isn't on a supported system?

I had to force Application Enhancer 1.5.1 to install, as that’s the version that works with ShapeShifter 2.3.1... which almost perfectly works on this build. Couldn’t apply any themes though.

And UNO, the predecessor to Flavours doesn’t work either.

Have you by any chance looked at the Liger ShapeShifter theme? That could also help in some cases if you want to make it more like leopard themed (Downloads folder, etc)
Btw I tried this several times and I get errors. Saw it working in a YouTube video… from 2009.

Still can’t find 9A303. All the builds we need are locked up. Can someone please upload them for testing? I have tried uploading several things to BetaArchive but still cannot get access. My G3 ran 9A241 fine. Added some other things to the first post.
