I’m looking for a case that makes it easy to swap between my two use cases- (1) magic keyboard for typing heavy tasks or (2) no keyboard for tasks with more reading than typing, where the keyboard is awkward. Is there such a thing that would also provide decent protection for my iPad?

What about putting a skin on it? And then using the Magic Keyboard for protection when out and about.

That’s what I do when at home. When I take it on a trip I have a zippered pouch that fits the iPad in the Magic Keyboard and a smaller attached zippered pouch where I carry cleaning cloth, mouse/pad, pencil and extra tips, AirPods, usb adapter and hdmi cord. That way I’m prepared for anything. 😊

Any suggestions as to skins? I also want something that will work with the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio. I thought about a case, but some of them just look like clear cheap plastic I need the skin to be good quality and easy to put on.

I love the dbrand skins. Lots of options and the solid or opaque ones are easy to put on, especially if you have an iPad like mine with the flat edges.

I use the Pitaka case on my pro. Tried the whole skin only with the keyboard and Smart Cover but I dropped it and dented a corner that way. Haven’t had issues with drops since I got the Pitaka on it.
