Given Digidesign's notorious attitude to upgrades I think it safe to say that even the new PT 7 due out will not be making much use of the quad cores.... 
High level mutli-input systems will benefit from the additional bandwidth, but only on very large scale productions. However, video handling may well improve.
Give em a couple of months, they'll sort it out.
