They sat on their laurels too long, I had a subscription to PSNow but had cancelled it as I was only giving money to Sony and not realizing any benefit.

Well, it is making some good progress. They added downloads a couple of years ago and got the pricing under control. Now it is starting to see some good games. Seems they are gearing up to take on Xbox and Game Pass next gen.

It's nice to see Microsoft kicking Sony out of complacency after they fumbled the start of this generation. While I still think there's always going to be a market for buying a la carte, games as a service offers a tremendous value if you can take advantage of it and companies running scared is good for consumers.

I like Microsoft's approach for the new generation. Where for a fixed amount you get the console and all their online services. Wouldn't mind getting a PS5, PS Now & PS+ for a fixed amount.
