Hopefully someone can answer a question, why does the size of the purgeable space reported in Disk Utility and Finder differ? For example, the size of the purgeable space is reported as 3.14 GB in Finder and 23.3 MB in Disk Utility. Which one is correct?

The other question I have, why does the purgeable space go up when I delete some files? For instance, I removed some old DMG’s and now the purgeable space is greater then 24 GB.

3.14 GB Reported by Finder:

23.3 MB reported in Disk Utility:

I figured out how to recover the purgeable space by following the instructions in the link below. Once I turned off iCloud Optimized Storage, both Finder and Disk Utility are aligned on what is reported for purgeable space.
