Push on Mail.app on Mac OS X (MM Preferences)

I am unclear about this setting. Is this for PUSH of the email messages to the Mail.app on Mac OS X or this 'Mail Accounts" is just a sync of Mail Account Settings, for example the mail server names etc.

The other settings below it is clearly marked, like Rules, Signatures etc.

So my question is what this "Mail Accounts" relates to? Is it Mail Account Settings or ACTUAL Mail.app messages PUSH settings.

No, it's just mail settings and account info. Nothing to do with push. Everything I've read leads to the conclusion that push is not enabled for desktop apps like Mail or Outlook yet.
