Question about docking stations

If I was to get a dock/speaker thing for my ipod touch, something like the Logic 3 i-Station 7 or the Klipsch iGroove SXT, would i be able to play shoutcast internet radio through it from the app on my touch? I don't know how they work you see, so i don't know if they just play whatever is being played on the ipod, or if they work some other way.

it will play everything the internal speaker would play.
