Resolved Question About Parallels' Boot Camp Feature

I know that Parallels can use a Boot Camp partition as the VM source. My question is this: does doing this cause Parallels to duplicate the entire Boot Camp partition into a .pvm file or does Parallels simply read from the Boot Camp partition?

I've been trying to find the answer to this but can't seem to. Any help is appreciated!

It will use the actual Bootcamp partition for the VM. It will create a small .pvm file, but it only contains the configuration data.
