So I have a PowerMac 8600/250 that had been upgraded to a 350Mhz 604ev (Kansas Motherboard). I am not the original owner but the optical drive looks like it is a stock drive. For some reason I can not get it to read burned disks. I have already tried burning disks at lower speeds, but I can not get the optical drive to read them. And those same disks will read in a PowerMac 8500/180 and a PowerMac 7100/80. Both machines have stock drives. The optical drive on the 8600 will work on Original pressed disks so the drive seems good. Is there any thing else that I can try?

Thanks in advance

Cheers :)
