I have just recently made the switch to apple and I'm very impressed. I've only had one problem and thats what I wanted to know about. Everytime I turn on my computer a square with the Earth starts flashing, then in an even smaller square a picture of the Finder icon flashes and then a question mark. I don't recall this happening when I first got the Mac.

Thanks,
Reeves

As a guess:

Your Mac is set to boot off of a network drive (how it happened, no one knows).

Go into System Preferences (under the apple menu, top left of the screen).

Choose "Startup Disk".

You'll probably see "Network Startup" selected for you.

Select the "Mac OS X, 10.3.7" (or whatever version you have).

Restart.

Let us know if it worked!

It Works

Thanks big time, without those two things I mentioned flashing it takes about five seconds to start my iBook! :D
