If I bought MBP with a 5400RPM HDD, and a 3rd party SSD, could I use the HDD in a 'caddy'? To store movies on?

Thanks

Yep, you can get a USB or Firewire enclosure and you've got an external hard drive.

Brilliant. So..
Going the apple route: £160 SSD + ~£50 External HDD = £210
Going the aftermarket route: HDD included + £10 caddy + £220 SSD = £230

£20 for a much better SSD.
