I has a Quicksilver 733( aka 2001 ) and have installed Debian 10.
The trouble is the only audio that will play is systems sounds on the Mate desktop, and only through the internal speaker.
If I plug a set of speakers into the line out jack, alas mixer detects they are plugged in and mutes the internal speaker, but I get no sound out of them at all, not even system sounds.
Anyone know how I can get sound fully working?
System sounds now seem to playback over the line out jack to external speaker, but I still have no other sound playback.
