QuickTime X in Mt. Lion...

There is so much ML info out there, so much unleashed, that it's hard to know if I found everything. What I am curious about is what Apple is doing with QTX, which is still under-developed.

Has talk of the new version, I assume comes with ML, included specific file-types that it will be able to work or play?

Is there a detailed article or review anywhere someone can link?

As of this release QuickTime X is identical, save for the new Sharing options that are found System-wide.
