I've got an early 2008 Mac Pro. The label on the Mac says Model No. A1186, Mac Pro/3.0.

The front fan has failed and I wanted to replace it. I ordered a used fan from MacPartsDepot, but that turned out to be a mistake. While their website shows the correct fan, the one that was delivered is missing a notch in the fan's frame. The replacement will not fit into the Mac as it can't clear a small protrusion that is for a screw.

I tried to contact them (this was several weeks ago), but received zero response. I can't even get an RMA, and their website lists a 35% restocking fee. So, I am out the $35. But, rather than get burned again, who do you all recommend for getting a replacement fan?

The first image here is the fan from my Mac showing the notch in the frame. The second is the fan I received having no notch.
