So you would rather have 1G network when you could own a router Roth at has 10g and 1G ports on it! Have the best of both worlds!
I prefer to keep my rock solid Cisco switch than having a low end thing like this.
You don't replace a 2000$ switch for this thing (yeah, it was pricey back in 2010).
So yes, I prefer having a 1 gbps but rock stable network rather than a 10gbps switch that will possibly give me trouble.
Today's Cisco prices (mainly for Meraki) are crazy and subscription-based. Not worth it. Ubiquiti now is my networking gear of choice.
