all,
I want to be able to seperate a soundtrack from a DVD. I am trying to put some tunes from a Music DVD onto my ipod, but obviously don't want the pictures as well. Any ideas what there is out there that will allow me to do this.

not sure about this one...

is that a Macintel powerbook you're using? I know the 3rd link has software encoded in universal binary. The other 2, I dunno but if they're not I don't think they'll work on a Macintel processor...you may want to check me on that, as I could well be mistaken.

hope this helps

There is a linux program to output a wav file from the DVD audio. (DVD::rip)
There should be a mac program somewhere to do this, instead of just recording something over again. This is not the best way.

Edit:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac3dec/

This program will decode the ac3 DVD audio stream into a AIFF file. Might need another program to rip the ac3 stream from the DVD though.

Edit 2:

Looks like this will do what you want.
