iPhone 7/Plus Recovering deleted doc file on iPhone?

Hi

I’ve been using the free documents app for years. I deleted a file a few years ago and would very much like to recover this if possible. (List of medications) I currently use iPhone 7, but was using iPhone 6 until about a year ago.

I’m assuming the data is held on a cloud somewhere, not on the phone itself? (I do have the old iPhone 6, but it doesn’t work)

(I know there are progs out there that I’ve used to recover deleted files on my camera before)

That would be a real long shot and not worth the money to maybe/possibly recover a single document. As for the data being stored on the cloud, that would only happen if you saved it there. Otherwise it would be stored on your phone.
