Hello!
I recently purchased an external G-Drive R-Series 2TB SSD. I just reformatted to APFS without partitions, and now in Disk Utility, it is showing up as both as an internal and external drive. Is this a sign that something went wrong, or is this Catalina?
Container disk3 jSSD = G-Drive
I reformatted my SanDisk Extreme 2TB to APFS a few weeks ago, and this did not happen. Both are mounted right now so you can see the difference.
I have recently learned that APFS isn't optimal for Time Machine, so don't worry about that partition, I'll be needing to take that away.
