I'll keep it short and sweet!... I want a Mac Pro. Are the Refurb Mac Pros the same quality wise as a new one. Were they returns? Were they broke before?
Are the as good just cant be put on an Apple store shelf...Answers?:apple:

refurbs are computers which have had issues, so they were returned to Apple, but instead of chucking it, they fixed the broken part, and put it up for sale. They are perfectly good machines, and they are a bargain as well. theres nothing wrong with them :)

Don't take this the wrong way, but please do a forum search...there are literally dozens of threads on this topic.

I got my girlfriend's macbook through Apple's refurb store...works great. However, for my Mac Pro I went with Amazon for the free shipping and tax savings (plus the rebate, which is $200 now).

$Refurb+sales tax > $Amazon w/rebate.

If you're going with a stock system, I'd go with Amazon.

I bought my Mac Pro new, but have bought other things from Apple refurbed. no problems at all. My refurbed studio display was BETTER then the one I got new.
