Anyone know why the Apple Refurbished store doesn’t sell Product Red iPhones?
Second random thought, why do they not sell SE 2022 iPhones in the refurbished store… where does all the returned stock go if they don’t resell in the refurbished store?

Given Apple replaces the chassis on refurb iPhones, they’ll likely choose a mainstream color, either white or black for easier sales.

Apple salvages parts to repair iPhones or to use as replacements. It’s the excess that they sell in the online store as refurb.

Another possibility is that they want to avoid selling discounted (product)red devices to push people who want red to the full price versions. Thereby maximising the charitable donation of the new versions.
Or they don’t want to give both the discount to customers AND the charitable donation at the same time…to maximise their own profits.
