Reinstalled Mavericks from USB and now won’t connect to WiFi

Hi,

So recently I was cleaning up an older MacBook Pro (2014) for a family member to use for very light browsing and so I reinstalled Mavericks using a USB drive. The install went silky smooth and loaded up perfectly, but now it won’t connect to any WiFi network. All it says is “Connection Failed” every time I try to connect. Anyone have any ideas on what I did wrong here? Thank you!
