I'm using an iPad and it happens that I always need to manually set the volume level each time I start a given app.

For example, I normally use the music app for background music with a pretty low volume level; when I use skype for a video call I normally set the volume very high, something like a speakerphone; when I watch video I normally use a medium kind of setting.

Is there a way, within iOS or with an app, for the iPad to remember the last volume level I use with a given app and automagically set the volume level accordingly each time the app is moved to the foreground?

It sounds like a pretty basic request, but I could not find anything to that effect. Any suggestion?

TIA

There is nothing for that in the App store.

If you jailbreak and open Cydia, the app that would probably work for this is called Volume.
