My iPod Classic 160GB, which I use almost daily, has been having trouble lately physically connecting via its USB sync port. Jiggling the cable sometimes gets it to connect. Otherwise it still works brilliantly.

Anyone know if this is fixable?

Try taking a small thin piece of cardboard (cut from a cereal box or something similar) and seeing if you can get any dust or gunk out of the 30-pin port on the bottom. Sometimes it's just dust causing a connection to fail.

Otherwise, have you tried another cable?

That did the trick. Seems to have been an unknown accumulation of dust and gunk in there. Back to working normally. Thank you!
