Dear Community,

on my Macbook Pro M1 using Montery 12.4 i've a weird error within my applications folder: Whenever I try to set the icon size from 64x64 down to 32x32, after restarting the system it get's reset back to 64x64. Has anyone another idea? I already editet com.apple.finder.list in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist and hoped this might help- unfortunately no chance. It's only happening in the applications folder, all other changes (f.e. in Download Folder) are working fine.

Has anyone another idea what I can try?

Cheers,
Nino

That's weird, my Applications Folder has 48x48 icons by default. I just changed it in Show View Options, closed the folder and reopened it. The change was saved.

So, since you've messed with the plist file and that didn't help, I'd try a different User Account and see if it behaves properly there. If so, I'd give up on finding the cause and solution, and just migrate to a new Account.
