Restart and Shut Down takes forever

I updated my Macbook Pro Retina 2014 model to the MacOS Sierra a couple of weeks back. I realized that when I shut down the Laptop or Restart my laptop it takes at least 15 minutes. I recently also update to Beta version 2 but I'm still facing this issue. Has anyone else faced similar issues. Does anyone know if this is a bug in this new OS or if there is anything else I can check to fix this?

How to start up your Mac in single-user or verbose mode - Apple Support

If you boot in verbose mode then the shutdown will be verbose.

Also, Console is your friend … although I have barely touched the redesigned Console in Sierra, so I can't advise on its use. There's a French article, macOS Sierra rénove sa Console | MacGeneration that may be useful.

@divinity I have a 2011 MBP that has the same issue. I only started noticing it with Beta 2, but maybe I just missed it with Beta 1. Please post back here if you figure out the issue.

@divinity Do you have MySQL installed? My issue was solved by disabling that.
